The Clyde Coast Mini League team had a fantastic trip to Campbeltown on Saturday to compete against Kintyre and Scotia for a place in the finals in June. Again every kid swam and supported each other so well and they were a credit to the Club. As were the more mature travelling support 😉. The team came second behind Scotia and so will need to wait till the completion of round 3 to see where they finish. Regardless it has been a great competition with lots of new swimmers and parents experiencing the excitement of the Clyde Coast Mini League.
Some other highs and lows included Mr Bradley’s attempted geography lessons on the bus, a touch of nausea for some (probably unrelated to those lessons), some amazing views of Scotland’s fantastic landscape, a trip to the beach and a chip shop invasion. I’m sure all will agree it was a great day.
The event was the last competition Elise and Leona McQueenie and Maddie McCallum were competing with Rutherglen before they move to Glasgow so we wish them all the best.
Final scores:
Scotia 170
Rutherglen 148
Kintyre 117
Rutherglen 148
Kintyre 117
Some photos of the trip (thanks Gerry)
